Christmas is around the corner and I actually thought, “how boring! there is nothing creative and unique for gifts”. Then I randomly came across this article on Six Revisions, with a long list of goodies!

If you know a designer or a developer or just an all round creative person, def take a gander at this list!

Giving and getting gifts are great, but I want to take time this Christmas to help those who aren’t that fortunate to give or get. Here are a list of Charities that might be useful to you this holiday season!

The Toronto Santa Claus Fund

The birth of The Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund charity in 1906 relates back to a vivid memory from former Toronto Star publisher Joseph Atkinson’s youth. One day, young Joseph was watching other children skate on a pond. A lady approached and asked him why he wasn’t skating. When  she heard his sad tale of being too poor to afford skates, she bought him his frst pair    for Christmas. Atkinson never forgot the warmth and generosity of that stranger. Years later, he  told the stories of other needy children in the pages of the Toronto Star and asked readers to contribute money to help buy Christmas gifts for them. The gifts of fruit, candy, socks and mitts were distributed through Toronto’s Little Trinity Church. Today, bright gift boxes are flled with a warm shirt, socks, mitts and hat, a book, small toy, candy and dental hygiene items. The gifts are still delivered to children’s homes by volunteers, just as they were in 1906.

Toronto Christmas Events CP24/CHUM Christmas Wish

The CP24/CHUM Christmas Wish was established in 1966 as a charitable foundation called CHUM’s Kid’s Crusade Foundation, for the purpose of assisting children in need, and children’s charities

Toys for Tots

Donate a new toy or give a donation to help make Christmas a little brighter for a needy child in your community.

Angel Tree

Angel Tree is a ministry of Prison Fellowship, delivering love in the form of Christmas gifts and a message of hope to children of prisoners. Angel Tree Christmas connects the parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts by local church volunteers who purchase and deliver these gifts and the Gospel to children. Often times the local church will host a Christmas party for the children, their caretakers and family. Learn more now about getting your church involved with Angel Tree projects:

List of Printers Online

November 14, 2008

Recently I have been looking for printers who are in the greeting card business. I feel it’s time to make some good connections in that area. But honestly, it is so hard to find a good printer these days….someone who cares fro your creations and who aren’t over the top pricewise.

I came across a number of really good stationery/flyer/design needs printers! All of them in the states though….if only the CAD dollar was better, it would’ve been a super super sweet deal :)

Anyways, here’s my list of super economical and good quality printers!

1. Overnight Prints (They don’t really deliver overnight, so I am unsure about the name.)
Their quality is good and pricing is good too. Business cards on 14pt stock, cant get better than that! But they make mistakes on large orders.

2. Print100
Based in China. FREE shipping to Canada, baby. Plus they do all sorts of fancy di cuts and textures. Only thing is their card stock isn’t very thick. A bang for your buck, none the less.

3. U Printing
These guys do canvas prints. And their prices are pretty amazzzing. 1000 business cards for $26. I ordered their sample kit to see the quality.

4. PSPrint
Once again good prices. My sample kit is in the mail.

5. Intelex (Based in Canada, with a niceee site!)
They offer more than just printing.

6. My Bravo Print
I think I ordered samples from here, honestly, I lost track lol
They have a SUPER DUPER OFFER,
-25 Oversized Postcards FREE
-100 Business Cards FREE
-25 Flyers FREE

So that’s my list so far. I’ll update the list as I find more. If anyone knows of a good envelope place to get nice invitation envelopes or a good greetinng cards printer pleaseee share :)

I have thrown myself into the Holiday Season, starting with these cards, more to come. This time of the year is always soooo exciting :) It represents so many meaningful things, friends, family, warmth, red, green, snowflake sweaters, Home Alone part 1 and 2, hot cocoa, a time to get together, forgive & forget, new beginnings…most of all the birth of Christ. I am just greatful to be alive and well (sooo sentimental right now lol).
Most of my cards are (once again) available for purchase online, as a hi-res pdf template or ready with envelopes at my etsy store. You may request to personalize the cards too, to add a personal touch.

So I have come up with a new collection besides The Wedding Collection. This collection reflects my love for shoes :) . I think shoes are a perfect way of reflecting ones character and personality. Are you a Slipper? or a Mary Jane? orrrr a Hooker boot? the classic Black Pump?

This is the first one in the collection, Pretty in Pink. More of this available at my Etsy store.
