Christmas Holiday Cards! Oh Joy!
October 30, 2008
I have thrown myself into the Holiday Season, starting with these cards, more to come. This time of the year is always soooo exciting
It represents so many meaningful things, friends, family, warmth, red, green, snowflake sweaters, Home Alone part 1 and 2, hot cocoa, a time to get together, forgive & forget, new beginnings…most of all the birth of Christ. I am just greatful to be alive and well (sooo sentimental right now lol).
Most of my cards are (once again) available for purchase online, as a hi-res pdf template or ready with envelopes at my etsy store. You may request to personalize the cards too, to add a personal touch.

The Shoe Collection Cards by moi :)
October 19, 2008
So I have come up with a new collection besides The Wedding Collection. This collection reflects my love for shoes
. I think shoes are a perfect way of reflecting ones character and personality. Are you a Slipper? or a Mary Jane? orrrr a Hooker boot? the classic Black Pump?
This is the first one in the collection, Pretty in Pink. More of this available at my Etsy store.

Eduardo Verastegui, Producer and Star of ‘Bella’
October 4, 2008
Listening to the Drew Marshall Show, I came across an interview he did with Eduardo Verastegu. In no particular chronological order, Eduardo Verástegui was chosen as the lead character in the Latin comedy Chasing Papi, alongside Jaci Velasquez. He’s also made appearances in the popular TV series, Charmed, as Mr. Right, Jennifer Lopez’s “Ain’t It Funny” video and her new perfume commercials, working for such famous designers as Calvin Klein and Versace. At one point he was a member of the Mexican pop group, Kairo.
Eduardo co-owns Metanoia Films, a film production company, which brings us to my main topic, ‘Bella‘, the movie that has created quite a stir, by winning the People’s Choice Award at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival.
Brief synopsis of the movie:
Nina, a young, unmarried waitress at a Mexican restaurant, finds herself pregnant and without work after coming in late several days because of morning sickness. Jose, the restaurant’s chef, is taken by Nina’s plight and becomes her sole confidant. Jose helps her walk through her decision on what to do with her pregnancy. In the process, he bears secrets from his own mysterious past, which reveal his tenderness and passion for her and the child she is carrying.
The movie has made an impression on quite a few people, I hear. Mostly women who are/were in a similar position as Nina, in the movie. I know its a year later I am writing about this…but I have seen the movie and it’s worth the watch. The humanity in the movie leads me to believe love is still very active in our world.
I leave you with a quote quite fitting…
“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” -Mohandas K. Gandhi
